Instructions for Regional Center Students
Step 1: Create an account online
Go to Create an Account to register. It’s quick, easy, and free! You’ll need to enter information about yourself and anyone who will be swimming. Please remember to add your swimmer(s) to your account. All Watersafe families are required to keep a credit card on file however, your card will only be charged if Regional Center funding stops. Our Front Desk representatives will be happy to assist if you have any questions along the way either in person or by calling or texting 562-596-8608. Do not select classes at this time.
Step 2: Choose your lessons
Determine the type of lessons you’d prefer and fit within your approved budget. We have Private Lessons (1:1), Group Classes (3:1), Parent-Tot Workshops, and Pre Competitive Swim Squad. Our Regional Center Tuition Sheet can be found here.
Step 3: Send the information to your service coordinator
Once you’ve set up your account and chosen the lesson type you’d like, send the following information to your Service Coordinator. When doing this, keep in mind how much money you are allocated and for what time frame so you can make the best decision for your family.
*Please note: Watersafe will not reach out to your Service Coordinator or the Regional Center on your behalf.
- Watersafe’s Regional Center Pricing Sheet
- Lesson type and number of days/week requested
Step 4: Service Coordinator/Rep email approval
Once your Service Coordinator lets you know that your request was approved, please have the Service Coordinator click on the link found on the Regional Center Pricing Sheet and complete and submit the form.
Step 5: Wait for an email from Watersafe
Once we receive the approval from your service coordinator we will send you an email letting you know that it is time to sign up for lessons! You may then select your approved lessons through the online customer portal or you may contact us for scheduling assistance. Please take note of the length of time for which your service coordinator has approved lessons so that you may request further lessons when your current approval expires.
We can’t wait to see you!
Although all regional centers are different, in general, a regional center is a nonprofit organization that provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. They provide funding for these individuals to use local services. You must contact your local regional center for more information or to see if your family member qualifies.
There are a couple of timelines to keep in mind. The first part is the approval from your Regional Center. This can take up to a month depending on your Regional Center. Watersafe has no control over this process. Once you are approved AND the approval is sent to Watersafe by your Service Coordinator, you may register for lessons. You DO NOT need to wait for Watersafe to receive the funds.
Once we receive the approval from your service coordinator we will send you an email letting
you know that it is time to sign up for lesson!
You may request additional funds from your Service Coordinator using the same process or you may use your credit card on file to continue to pay for lessons. If funds expire, Watersafe will inform you before billing your credit card on file.
Yes! You can use your credit card on file for any additional lessons or purchases.
